The story of EpiCentr began in 2022. A team of passionate professionals united with a common vision: to develop a groundbreaking tool for individuals with epilepsy, enhancing safety and making epilepsy management affordable for everyone.
Our journey commenced with rigorous research. Collaborating closely with medical advisors immersed in epilepsy care, we meticulously crafted a suite of features tailored to effectively address the needs of those living with epilepsy. Our aim was to create an app that serves as a valuable liaison between users and their healthcare providers, offering insightful data. This collaborative effort is prominently reflected in EpiCentr's features, notably its Reports feature, which furnishes descriptive statistics about seizures and triggers for easy sharing with doctors.
Through extensive user research, we identified a set of app features that are unparalleled in the market. From the outset, EpiCentr set itself apart by introducing a Sleep Monitor feature capable of tracking nocturnal seizures without the dependency on an Apple Watch, which typically requires overnight charging.
Over the course of a year, we diligently developed, optimized performance, and rigorously tested the app before its launch in 2023.
EpiCentr is a seizure detection app for iPhone and Apple Watch, designed to automatically detect seizures, alert emergency contacts, facilitate epilepsy journaling, and effortlessly track triggers.
Powered by our proprietary algorithm and leveraging Apple Watch sensors, EpiCentr continuously monitors for seizure-like triggers, such as motion patterns associated with tonic-clonic seizures, various types of falls, and abnormal heart rates. Upon detection, the app promptly initiates an alert.
Driven by our commitment to community welfare and a steadfast belief in the transformative potential of technology, we remain dedicated to research and development, continually enhancing our app. User feedback occupies a central role in our evolution, and we strive to promptly incorporate desired features suggested by our users.
